Available in a selection of flex tempos depending on application, LOOP single-handed fly rods are constructed with the latest advances in rod making technology to offer superior fly fishing performance. Overhead and underhand casting techniques excel throughout the various ranges, allowing the angler a high confidence
After many years of constantly challenging ourselves as a company to extend the boundaries of modern fly rod design, we take great pride in the launch of what we truly believe to be highest performance fly rod range we have ever made: The LOOP 7X
Our 7X rod series introduces the innovative design and performance advantages of the exclusive and pioneering 7X blank construction process. This patented technology optimises power transfer and enhances rod tracking for both accuracy and maximum energy efficiency.
The 7X’s superior casting performance is due to the geometric advantages inherent within its shape, resulting in accelerated and rapid dampening of the rod during the energy transitions of a casting cycle.
The 7X design with its 2-3-2 structural support eliminates “spine effect” and broadens the versatility beyond the conventional over hand cast and underhand casting techniques. The 7X Series provides equal precision and power in a multitude of casting actions including the sidearm or backhand cast which are often required in many demanding sport fisheries.
The 7X Series is both lighter and stronger than conventional circular fly rod construction and the ultra efficient energy transmission results in the enhancement of:
•accuracy
•presentation
•performance
•versatility
Loop has a proud history of fly fishing tackle innovation and invite anglers to explore our latest fly rod technology.
The spiritual successor to the legendary Cross series, our new and much enhanced Z rods are the result of several years’ design, development and rigorous testing – all with the single goal of creating the ultimate combination of quality and value found in a fly rod.
Considerably lighter and yet far stronger than their predecessor thanks to the use of state-of-the-art nano resin technology, each rod in the Z series is made using 40-45 ton nano graphene carbon fibre of the highest specification available, ensuring the smoothest, most powerful action of any circular shaped rod we’ve ever come across.
Each rod in the series features the highest possible grade cork handle, specially designed lightweight reel seat, ceramic lined titanium stripping guides and titanium plated stainless steel snake guides.
The single-handed Z1 offers supreme distance, control and accuracy in a medium fast action, and comes in a range of models designed for every occasion and preference.
MODEL SPECIFICS
2103 – A nymphing rod designed for anglers who enjoy targeting fish in rivers and streams using the nymphing technique. Optimized with a down-lock reel seat for the best balance and the stripping guide closer to the handle for better line managment.
379 – Designed for dries or nymphs in creeks or smaller streams. Focus is on precision, light tippets and small flies.
490 – A go-to dry fly/nymphing rod for slightly larger waters and streams. A very precise rod with an action that’ll help you protect your tippet and ability to control the fish even with small flies and thin leaders.
590 – The ultimate trout angler’s utility rod. Simply a great allrounder that handles any trout fishing situation you may encounter.
5100 – Designed for still water fly fishing or larger rivers where great line control is essential.
796 – Created with light salmon and sea trout fishing in mind. The perfect choice for smaller to medium sized rivers where you won’t be needing a double-hander.
7100 – A bigger brother of the 796, it adds increased line control but without losing any of the feeling.

MODEL SPECIFICS
593 – The ultimate trout angler’s utility rod. Simply a great allrounder that handles any trout fishing situation you may encounter. A faster and slightly longer version than the Z1-590 which is perfect if you also do some streamer fishing with your 5-weight.
693 – A rod for pretty much all freshwater species or light saltwater sea trout. Will give you all the desired distance without the loss of any feeling.
6100 – Great rod for stillwater fishing, but also a really good option for smaller rivers holding grilse or sea trout.
790 – The perfect option for coastal sea trout or even light tropical saltwater. We look at it as a tool for streamers or other larger flies where line speed is a necessity.
7100 – As its little brother 6100 this is a perfect rod for still-water fishing, not least if there are a bit windy conditions. Also a really good option for smaller to mid sized rivers holding grilse or sea trout.
8100 – The most powerful rod in the series, designed for those who chase salmon with a single-handed rod or frequently battle windy conditions.
As with the new Cross SX Series, saltwater anglers requested slightly faster actioned fly rods for certain flats and bluewater conditions. LOOP listened to invaluable feedback from some of the world’s best saltwater anglers and guides to develop a uniform series of medium fast and fast action CROSS SW fly rods. LOOP’s designers and development team refined this powerful rod action to meet the full spectrum of saltwater species and conditions from around the globe.
Finished in a deep aesthetic blue, the new SW rods are designed and engineered with LOOP’s signature Cross Core Technology System. This combination of nano resin and high tensile carbon provides consistent, exceptional performance from every single rod in the range. Each model features corrosion-free titanium stripper and snake guides as well as our robust CROSS reel seat and superior quality cork handle. With twelve rods in the line-up, we are very confident that the Cross SW Series now has every saltwater permutation covered.
From the calmest conditions requiring a stealthy medium fast tempo delivery to punching out large flies in a challenging breeze with the new fast action models, the SW Series offers a distinct fast action fly rod to maximise your saltwater coverage.
“For many years I was asked to design my own flyrods. Here is the result – the Signature-series, made from the same fibre and technology as the Opti-series. The rods have a somewhat deeper action that bends down through the handle when fully loaded, together with a short piston stroke that allows an early stop.
The rods are easy to use and suit all kinds of fly-fishers, but give you, who have the technical abilities, an improved angle performance – without any loss of power during the forward cast. To fish with the Signature-rods is like poetry for your body and soul. You can almost feel how the rod is speaking to you, then you just hang on.”
BY COMBINING OUR NEW Q rods and Q reels into a range of three single-handed and two double-handed fly fishing kits, the modern fly fisher is presented with an optimised and balanced ready-to-cast fly fishing solution. The complete Q kit features a fly rod and preloaded fly reel with backing and a tapered leader attached for instant use straight out the rod tube. Each line rating benefits from a specific Q fly line taper to enhance the performance of the particular kit. The outfit is presented in a robust cordura combined rod and reel tube for secure transporta- tion during travel to your destination.
Our primary objective with the Q series was to design a range of high performance fly rods that suit a range of angling abilities.
